So I arrived in San Rafael earlier this afternoon. Most of today was spent settling into the dorm and getting to know my fellow classmates. There are eight of us, so it's a small class, which is great. We didn't really do any training today, basically, we just got oriented to the dorm setting. The staff here are great, and I think I will enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis. We are a pretty diverse group in terms of occupations, ages, and backgrounds, so I think it will be an interesting class.
"Dog day" is tomorrow about 2:30 California time. This is when I will be matched with my dog. I am not sure what exactly the process entails, so I'll write more about that after it happens tomorrow.
